ECON 630 International Economics

This course provides students with an understanding of economics from a global perspective. Concepts analyzed include the theory of international trade, trade policy, foreign exchange markets, and macro policies for open economics.

In today’s hypercompetitive global economy; the economics associated with international trade are more important than ever before. Successful business people and economists study the structure>conduct>performance of economic activity between different countries, such as the determinants of exchange rates, the impact of tariff and non-tariff barriers, and incentives for and against protectionist behavior.
