Rationale
In this course, the mentor will guide the candidate toward the completion and submission of all necessary IRB documents and application, as well as the completion of Chapter 1 of his or her DMIN thesis. Additionally, the student will revise Chapter 2 and begin writing Chapter 3 of the thesis.

In preparation for the remaining components of the doctor of ministry journey, the student will prepare documents and meet with the Faculty Mentor to discuss improvements and milestones to ensure the highest of standards are being met in the implementation and writing of the doctoral project. The student will complete and perfect the DMIN Thesis Prospectus through 5 assignments:
- Prospectus: Chapter 1 Final Assignment
- Prospectus: Chapter 2 Review of Literature Assignment
- Prospectus: Chapter 2 Theological Foundations Assignment
- Prospectus: Chapter 2 Theoretical Foundations Assignment
- Prospectus: Chapters 1, 2, and 3a with Bibliography Assignment (CLO: B,C)
Quizzes (2)
After a consultation with the assigned mentor, the student will take a quiz responding to an understanding of the expectations and requirements for completing the assignments in the course and thesis writing skills. In addition, the student will take a brief quiz concerning Liberty’s IRB process and requirements. (CLO: A)
Quiz: CITI Training
The student will enroll in a 4-hour training module provided by an outside source to learn the nuances of field research and IRB requirements. At the conclusion of the training, the student will take a quiz and will provide evidence of passing for a grade. (CLO: A)
