Increasingly, entities of all types and sizes rely on digital information systems to process, store and communicate business and mission critical information. This reliance has exponentially increased the risk profile for organizations. Addressing these risks require a workforce that is knowledgeable and skilled in the domains of information and cybersecurity. This course provides the necessary foundation for data and systems protection in a dynamic threat environment.

After reading the Course Syllabus and Student Expectations, the student will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview.
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. Each thread must be at least 300 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 150 words. All assertions in your thread and replies must be supported by Learn materials, good examples, thoughtful analysis, and at least 2 scholarly resources.

The student will complete lab assignments associated with the course material. Each lab assignment will have specific instructions for tasks, along with deliverables, to be completed in the virtual lab environment.
Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the module in which it is assigned. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 8 multiple-choice and 2 short answer questions, and have a 30-minute time limit.
The Midterm Quiz will cover the Learn material for Module 1: Week 1- Module 4: Week 4. The Midterm Quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 46 multiple-choice and 4 short answer questions, and have a 1-hour and 30-minute time limit.
The Final Quiz will cover all the Learn material for the course. The Final Quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 46 multiple-choice and 4 short answer questions, and have a 1-hour and 30-minute time limit.
