Rationale
Increasingly, entities of all types and sizes rely on digital information systems to process, store, and communicate business and mission critical information. This reliance has exponentially increased the risk profile for organizations. Addressing these risks require a workforce that is knowledgeable and skilled in the domains of information and cybersecurity. This course provides the necessary foundation for data and systems protection in a dynamic threat environment.

Discussions (3)
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a post in response to the provided discussion prompts. Each initial post to the main discussion questions must be between 300 – 375 words, demonstrating course-related knowledge. In addition to the main post, the student is required to reply to at least 2 classmates’ main posts. Each reply must be at between 150 – 175 words. The course has three discussion forums. All assertions in the student’s thread and replies must be supported by Learn materials, good examples, thoughtful analysis, and at least 2 scholarly resources.
Lab Assignments (9)
The student will complete lab assignments associated with the course material. Each lab assignment will have specific instructions for tasks, along with deliverables, to be completed in the virtual lab environment.
Quizzes (6)
Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the module in which it is assigned. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 8 multiple-choice and 2 short answer questions, and have a 30-minute time limit.
Quiz: Midterm
The Midterm will cover the Learn material for the first four modules in the course. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 46 multiple-choice and 4 short answer questions, and have a 1 hour and 30-minute time limit.
Quiz: Final
The Final will cover all the Reading & Study material for course. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 46 multiple-choice, 4 short-answer questions, and have a 3 hour time limit.
