CLED 890 Praxis VI: Assessment

Under the supervision of a faculty member, the student will assess an approved program, product, or process that serves as an artifact demonstrating and applying the student’s doctoral-level scholarship and professionalism as related to their cognate field of study.

This is the final course in the program. It allows the student the opportunity to write and submit the Dissertation-in-Praxis, document the program, process, or product produced for the program in the form of an academic artifact, and publicly present their work to their faculty supervisor and academic peers.

This assignment involves the creation and submission of the first draft of the Dissertation-in-Praxis document. This document follows the template provided at the Christian Leadership Doctoral Programs Canvas site. This document must contain all elements of the dissertation as required by the Handbook, follow all matters of style as found in the latest edition of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA format) and the EdD APA Supplemental Style Requirements as listed in the Handbook, and be free of spelling and grammar errors. Only submit a complete copy of all dissertation-related materials including front matter, chapters 1 – 5, references, and appendices. The document must be a minimum of 80 pages in length.

The purpose of this research task is to allow the candidate the opportunity to publicly present and defend the Dissertation-in-Praxis to the dissertation faculty supervisor and academic colleagues. This document will guide the student through this process.

The student will complete a quiz after holding the first consultation with his/her faculty supervisor. At that consultation, the student will report the status of his/her dissertation writing phase and discuss the seven required tasks of CLED890. The student will document that meeting with this quiz. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 4 true/false questions and 3 essay questions, have no time limit, and allow unlimited attempts.

Quiz: Faculty Supervisor Final Consultation

The student will complete this quiz after holding the second consultation with his/her faculty supervisor. At that consultation, the student will report the status of his/her dissertation writing phase and discuss the remaining required tasks of CLED890. The student will document that meeting with this quiz. The quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 3 essay questions, have no time limit, and allow unlimited attempts.

This quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 1 true/false question, have no time limit, and allow unlimited attempts.
