Rationale
Seminary training in military, healthcare, or community chaplaincy is quite incomplete without practical experience and apprenticeship in the selected field under the supervision of qualified chaplains. This course will facilitate that experience.

After reading the Syllabus and Student Expectations, the student will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview Section.
The student will complete a Ministry Report and Reflection each module utilizing the provided template in the course for Modules 1–15. (CLO: A, B, C, D)
The student will write a final reflection assignment. This assignment is designed to prompt student reflection on and summarizing of two to three key ministry lessons or applications and two to three ways he/she saw God working in his/her life during the semester. The final reflection paper will be between 1000-1200 words.
In Modules 4, 8, 12, and 16 the Chaplain Intern Student will receive and discuss an evaluation for the the period with his/her mentor/supervisor. This evaluation will focus on the progression of the chaplain/minister in his work, weaknesses, strengths, leadership abilities and ministry goals. This review must be signed by the field mentor/supervisor, emailed to the course instructor, and submitted online. (CLO: A, B, C, D)
