Rationale
BUSI 885 serves as the bridge course for the DBA Program, providing the necessary steps and activities needed to transition from the taking of courses to the production of a doctoral‐level research project.
Course Assignment
After reading the Course Syllabus and Student Expectations, the student will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview.
Students will submit weekly progress reports throughout the course.
Students will prepare a research concept paper providing the foundation for their proposed doctoral level research project. Specific requirements for the paper can be found in the Concept Paper Guide.
Task 1: Problem Statement Outline
Task 2: Research Questions
Task 3: Methodology
Task 4: Research Framework Outline
Task 5: Draft Research Concept
Task 6: Final Research Concept
Each of these tasks must be completed in sequence, and each is graded 1/0 (Pass/Fail). The student will continue to revise a failed attempt unit is successfully completed. Only then can the student move ahead to the next task.
