The complexity of operations in an automotive dealership requires more than understanding the concepts that were studied in the first Dealership Operations course. The concepts need to be analyzed and applied to current market environmental forces in a practical manner.

Discussions offer collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, students are required to provide an original thread in response to the questions provided for one Discussion in this course and reply to 2 peers.

Case Study: Financial Analysis Assignment

Students will complete a case study report that answers questions based on financial reports provided by a sample dealership. Students will be required to calculate various mathematical problems and write a narrative analysis of the financial status of the example dealership.

Case Study: Financial and Insurance Assignment

Students will evaluate two customer credit reports using the concepts learned in the textbook and determine what options are available to extend credit to those customers. Students will be required to calculate various mathematical problems and write a narrative analysis of the two credit reports.

Written Report Assignments (4)

Students are required to write four interim reports describing the various functions of an automotive dealership’s variable operations departments. Students will be required to answer questions provided for each written report assignment.

Integration of Faith and Learning Essay Assignment

Students will complete an Integration of Faith and Learning Essay assignment. Students will describe how they would handle an ethical situation dealing with the various departments of a dealership. Students will provide at least 1 verse from the Bible to support the proposed course of action. 

General Manager Written Report Assignment

Students will write from the perspective of the General Manager of a dealership in terms of the contributions of the variable operations departments to the overall success of the dealership.
