BUSI 332 Consumer Behavior

Students in this course demonstrate their knowledge of consumer acquisition, consumption, and disposal of products and services. Students analyze buyer behavior of individual consumers, business, and governments and evaluate the influence that demographics, popular culture, and subcultures have on consumer behavior.

Consumers are presented with an array of choices when it comes to acquisition, use, and disposition products. It is essential for the marketer to understand consumer needs, desires, and motives in addition to cultural and environmental influences on customer behavior to develop marketing strategies for competitive advantage. The better one is able to understand the consumer, the better one can predict and meet the consumer’s needs profitably.

Discussions (2)

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student will create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. Each thread must be 400 – 500 words, demonstrate course-related knowledge, and incorporate at least 2 peer-reviewed resources, the Babin and Harris textbook, and scriptural support. In addition to the thread, the student will reply to at least 2 classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 250 – 350 words and incorporate at least 1 peer-reviewed resource and the Babin and Harris textbook. Current APA format must be used.

Consumer Behavior Assignment

The student will construct an assignment that identifies the role of Consumer Behavior. The paper must be a minimum of 600 words of content. Two scholarly peer-reviewed sources, the textbook, and the bible must be incorporated. The assignment must include a title page and a reference page (the title page and reference page do not count towards the required word count). Current APA format must be used.

The student will watch four short videos and answer appropriate embedded questions with the video.

Social Media’s Role in Consumer Decisions Assignment

The student will select one topic from a list of four in the assignment and analyze and discuss the selected topic and corresponding instructions. The paper must be 600 words for the content, include at least 2 scholarly sources, and include a title page and reference page (the title page and reference page do not count towards the required word count). Current APA format must be used.

Decision-Making Process Assignment

The student will use a real-life scenario and apply the five step decision making process. The student will write a minimum of 1,000 words and include a title page, and reference page (The title and reference pages do not count in the total word count). The student will incorporate a minimum of two scholarly peer-reviewed sources, the textbook, and the Bible into the paper. Current APA format must be used.

Consumer Misbehavior Assignment

The student will analyze and discuss the selected topic and corresponding instructions. The paper must be 600 words for the content, include at least 2 scholarly sources, and include a title page and reference page (the title page and reference page do not count towards the required word count). Current APA format must be used.

Quizzes (8)

Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the Module: Week in which it is assigned. The quizzes will be open-book/open-notes, contain 25 multiple-choice and true/false questions, and have a 30-minute time limit. Each quiz must be completed in one sitting.
