Leaders of nonprofit organizations are responsible for creating social and sustainable market-based solutions. The student will examine innovation concepts, practices, strategies, and social entrepreneurship.

Rationale
BMAL 640, Entrepreneurial Innovation in the Nonprofit Organization, is an essential course for fulfilling the vision of the Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management. One of the stated goals of the BMAL program is to develop management, leadership, and business knowledge within the Christian worldview. This course explores various nonprofit principles based upon current theories or concepts for nonprofit entrepreneurs and uses relevant readings, current research, and application-based assignments to develop thoughtful, biblical-based responses. The course also directly supports each program learning outcome through the course readings, interactions, and assignments that address nonprofit entrepreneurs.

Discussions (8)
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each discussion. Each thread must be at least 400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. Each thread must be supported with 3 scholarly sources as well as the text and Bible and they must be within 3 years. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to at least 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 200 words and supported by at least 2 scholarly sources.
Case Study
The student will write a paragraph explaining the topic choice and create an outline of the paper assignment. This assignment must include at least 5 scholarly resources in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.
Case Study
The student will write an 8–10-page case study paper in current APA format. The student will research an entrepreneur of a nonprofit and discuss how this entrepreneur is faith-driven OR how this entrepreneur could/should be faith-driven. The paper must include at least 5 references in addition to the course textbooks and the Bible.
Entrepreneur in the Nonprofit Organization
The student will create a presentation based on the being a Faith Driven Entrepreneur. The presentation should be at least 10 slides and include at least 5 scholarly resources in addition to the Bible. This presentation will be a video PowerPoint presentation in which the student introduces themself as the faith-driven entrepreneur. The presentation will include how this entrepreneur is a faith-driven entrepreneur or how this entrepreneur could be a faith-driven entrepreneur.
Entrepreneur in the Nonprofit Organization
After reading each module: week’s selected readings, the student will answer the accompanying questions that correspond to the reading. The student will use the template provided to answer the questions. The journal must be in first person and demonstrate thoughtful reflection—no additional research or APA formatting is required.
