Course Description
Students will explore and investigate leadership in the rapidly changing aviation industry. The course will cover changes in technology, issues of differing generations, applications in the digital realm, as well as other contemporary issues.

Course Requirements Checklist
After reading the Syllabus and Student Expectations, the student will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview.
Class Introduction Discussion
The student will complete the Class Introduction Discussion in a visual presentation format. The visual presentation must include a two-three minute recorded video presentation introducing themselves to their other classmates. The student will then reply to 2 of their other classmates’ videos with a reply of at least 150 words.
Discussions (8)
There are eight weekly Discussions to be completed in this course. The student is required to post one thread of at least 400 words and two replies of at least 250 words to two classmates’ threads. (CLO: A, B, C, D)
Application Exercise Assignments (8)
There are eight weekly application exercises. The student will complete these exercises as assigned and apply text readings to their personal and professional circumstances. Each exercise should be answered fully, with a minimum of 500 words. (CLO: A, B, C, D)
Leadership Philosophy Paper Assignment
The student will investigate current research on leadership in aviation and related organizations. Using the research, course materials, and knowledge from the Bible, the student will write a personal Leadership Philosophy Paper. This paper must address your leadership philosophy related to (a) interactions with different generations, (b) the impact of digital combinations and social media, and (c) change management. The plan must be a minimum of 10 pages, and it must include at least five citations in current APA formatting. Title page, abstract, and references do not count toward the total page count. A template is provided for this assignment. (CLO: A, D)
