Rationale

It has become increasingly more important for students to have opportunity to apply learned principles of worship leading under the direction of teachers, mentors, music directors, and/or pastors. This experience should be gleaned over an extended period of time in the local church under the supervision of local church leadership. Experiences should be designed so that the student understands the responsibility of submitting his/her self to pastoral authority. Experiences should include, but are not limited to crafting worship services for small groups, rehearsing choirs, ensembles, praise teams, or praise bands as needed, singing with praise teams and/or playing with praise bands; developing multi-media power-point type presentations, participating in drama teams, assembling a team of worship leaders and teachers for specific missions related activities, or assisting media teams in the preparation and presentation of worship through video, computer, and audio venues.
