Rationale
The purpose of this course is to introduce the student to the practices used in implementing social media for the purposes of organizational growth. In doing so, the student will gain an understanding of the objectives, strategies, platforms, and tactics used in social media.

For this collaborative discussion, the student is required to create a thread in response to the prompt provided for each forum. Each thread must be 400–450 words, demonstrate course-related knowledge, and include at least 3 unique citations in current APA format. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 200–250 words and have at least 2 unique citations per reply.
Research Paper: Social Media Analysis Assignment
The student will write a 8–10 page research-based paper in current APA format that focuses on a for-profit or non-profit organization that has an undeveloped or poorly-developed social media presence. The paper must include at least 8 references in addition to the course textbook.
Research Paper: Social Media Repair Assignment
Based on the information gathered in the Social Media Analysis assignment, the student will write a 12–15 page research-based paper in current APA format. The paper must include at least 12 references in addition to the course textbook.

Each quiz will cover the Learn material for the assigned module: week. Each quiz will be open-book/open-notes and contain 15 multiple-choice questions, and have a 1-hour time limit.
