After reading the Course Syllabus and Student Expectations, the student will complete the related checklist found in the Course Overview.
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to create a thread in response to the provided prompt for each Discussion. Each thread must be a minimum of 600 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge and biblical principles and/or Scripture. In addition to the initial thread, the student is required to reply to 2 classmates’ threads. Each reply must be at least 300 substantive words. These discussions are designed for student to dive deeply into discussion on one central idea. Each post should demonstrate critical insight and evaluation. (CLO: A, C, D)
The church is called to make disciples (Matt 28:19-20). If making disciples is the goal, it is important we are able to articulate what a disciple is, particularly, what characteristics a disciple should exhibit. To develop accurate ministry plans, we must know what the target is.
This assignment will be separated into individual sections. Each section for each mark must be a minimum of 200 words. A minimum of 8 unique scholarly sources should be cited in this paper. Each mark should have a minimum of two scholarly citations. This assignment must meet Turabian formatting standards. (CLO: A)
For this assignment, the student will create a spiritual assessment to gauge how a person measures up to the marks he/she created regarding a mature or complete disciple. This assignment is where the student’s previous study and understanding of the various aspects of each mark will come into play.
For this assessment, the student will create a survey using the Likert scale. An example of the Likert scale is provided. (CLO: B)
For this assignment, the student will give the assessment he/she created to at least 5 Christians. (CLO: C)
In a previous assignment, the student gave a group of people a spiritual assessment to evaluate where they are in relation to the biblical marks of a disciple.
For this assignment, the student will select either one of those assessments or he/she will work with all the assessments as a group. The student will write a paper presenting a personal growth plan for either one person or the entire group. The paper must be a minimum of 2100 words and follow Turabian formatting. (CLO: D)
