Course Description

Rationale

Currently, Java is one of the leading development languages used in today’s business and web applications; therefore, students who wish to make their CSIS-related careers more lucrative will want to obtain a practical familiarity with it. CSIS 312 builds on the lessons of CSIS 212 with an emphasis on programming with objects and advanced Java features. The purpose of CSIS 312 is to ground students more firmly in object-oriented development.

Discussions (2)

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each forum. The student will complete two Discussions in this course. The student will post one thread of at least 300 words and then post two replies of at least 250 words. For each thread, students may support their assertions with at least one citation in APA format. Each reply must incorporate at least one citation(s) in APA format.

Assignments (7)

The student is required to complete 7 assignments that will give him/her an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of the lessons learned during the associated module.

Quizzes (5)

Each quiz will cover the Reading & Study material for the module/week in which it is assigned. Each quiz has 10 multiple-choice and true/false questions, a 20-minute time limit, and is limited to one attempt.

Quiz: Final

The student will complete a comprehensive Final Exam that covers all of the course material. The Final Exam will consist of 50 multiple-choice and true/false questions, a 75-minute time limit, and is limited to one attempt.
