Discussions (2)
Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, the student is required to provide a thread in response to the provided prompt for each Discussion. Each thread must be 400 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads. Each reply must be 200 words. Practical Evaluation Paper Assignments (3)
The student will complete 3 practical assessments in three different sports chaplaincy industries. The student will reach out to a current or retired sports chaplain for their assistance in the practical assessment. The assessments will include a mock counseling session of the students choosing, a mock advisement session of the students choosing, and mock word of the day scenario of the students choosing. The student is encouraged to challenge them self with the scenarios they select to receive relevant feedback. If the student is unable to select a scenario, please reach out to the professor no less than five days before the assignment is due for assistance in personalizing the scenario to the students’ strengths and areas of growth.
