Course Description

Generalist Field Enrollment II provides students with guidance in their efforts to finalize a placement which was secured in SOWK 544 (Generalist Field Enrollment I) for their Generalist Field Experience. Upon successful completion of the course, students are enrolled in a field experience.

Competency Self-Reflection Assignment

This assignment provides the student the opportunity to reflect on his/her current skills and understanding of each of the nine social work competencies. The student will use a provided template to evaluate his/her perspective of his/her competence for each and then identify strengths and areas for growth. The student will create two SMART goals for the competencies in which he/she would like to grow for his/her junior field experience.

The student will not submit anything for this assignment. The student’s assigned field advisor will indicate whether the proposal has been approved, after the entire proposal (Forms #3-6) have been submitted correctly and completely.

The student will not submit anything for this assignment. The student must successfully complete all assignments in this course and receive full approval on a field placement proposal to be eligible for Program Support Approval.
