Successful completion of the comprehensive exam indicates readiness to graduate from the Social Work Program with a Master’s in Social Work Degree (MSW).

Degree Completion Plan Audit Submission Assignment

The student must submit a PDF of his or her Degree Completion Plan (DCPA) to verify GPA and progress in program.

Quiz: Growth Areas & Competency Development Documentation

The student will submit a documentation as required in a Competency Development Plan or other documented Area for Growth as defined by the department. 

This quiz is designed to assess knowledge of various self-care interventions. This quiz will be open-book/open-notes, contain 1 essay question, and will have a no time limit.

The Oral Comprehensive Exam is the method in which students can demonstrate their learning and application of each social work competency. To complete the exam, students will meet with a faculty member via Microsoft Teams at a pre-determined date and time. They will be given a case study and asked to respond to prompts related to each of the social work competencies and apply the concepts to their case study. Students must meet baseline competence in each competency in order to successfully pass the exam.
