Course Description
This course examines the principles necessary for building an evangelistic ministry that lasts. We will explore the importance of the Scriptures in evangelism, how to encourage a new believer, and the spiritual gift and calling of the evangelist.

Rationale
An evangelist must be competent to follow up those who make a decision. The purpose of this course is to equip students with the Biblical content and practical skills for discipling a new believer.

Discussions (4)
The student is required to create a thread answering the provided prompt for each discussion. Each thread must be 300 words and demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, the student is required to reply to 2 other classmates’ threads, depending on the module instructions. Each reply must be 200 words. Each thread must be supported with 2 citations from Scripture, textbooks, or course videos in parenthetical format. Citations are not required for replies. (CLO: A, B, D, E)
Discipleship Manual Assignments (4)
This project is broken down into 4 assignments. The student will develop a discipleship manual that covers a year. The first topic is chosen for the student, “The First Steps for a New Believer,” and then the student chooses 11 more topics. Each topic will contain four sessions and key Scriptures for all of them. The first topic will also be developed into session outlines and discussion questions. (CLO: B, C)
Quizzes (3)
The student will take 4 open-book/open-notes quizzes throughout the term. The quizzes will cover the reading presented for that module. Each quiz consists of randomized multiple-choice and true/false questions and has 100 possible points. The quiz must be completed within the 1-hour time limit. (CLO: A, B, D)
