Paid Leave Days

Newly benefited employees must wait 60 days before being eligible to receive paid leave benefits. All benefited employees are eligible for paid holidays upon the date of hire. View the paid leave policies (6.8-6.13) in the employee handbook for detailed information.


2024 Holidays

  • New Year’s Day – Monday, January 1
  • Easter – (Observed) Monday, April 1
  • Memorial Day – Monday, May 27
  • Independence Day – Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5
  • Labor Day – Monday, September 2
  • Thanksgiving and Day After – Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29
  • *Christmas holiday – Monday, December 23 through Friday, December 27

*Please note that some essential personnel will still be required to work during the newly extended Christmas holiday. 


Vacation

  • 120 hours (15 days)  paid per year for years 1-5*
  • 160 hours (20 days)  paid per year starting in your 6th year of employment
  • 200 hours (25 days) days paid per year starting in your 11th year of employment.

*Date of hire will determine the number of pro-rated days an employee will be entitled to receive in the first calendar year of service. New hires must wait 60 days before requesting earned vacation hours. 


Sick/Personal

• 5 days paid sick/personal per year.
• New benefited employees must wait 60 days before being eligible to use sick/personal time.
• Date of hire will determine the number of pro-rated days an employee will be entitled to receive in the first calendar year of service.


Maternity Leave

Beginning July 1, 2024 maternity leave is available to eligible employees for the birth and the care of a newborn child. The eligible mother may only use this benefit once per rolling calendar year and the amount of leave given does not increase based on multiple births. Adoption Leave

Beginning July 1, 2024 adoption leave is available to eligible employees for the adoption and care of a newly adopted child under the age of 13. The eligible employee may only use this benefit once per rolling calendar year and the amount of leave given does not increase based on the number of children involved in the event. Bereavement

Up to 3 days of paid bereavement leave will be provided to eligible employees in a benefited position. View the bereavement policy (section 6.9) in the employee handbook for more details.
