Health Insurance
- Liberty offers two medical plans through Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield: Key Care High Deductible Health Plan or Key Care 400 PPO.
- Both plans provide vision coverage
- Liberty offers two dental plans through Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield: Clean Plan or Care Plan.
- Direct Primary Care benefits give you access to high-quality primary care services at no out-of-pocket costs.
Life and Disability Insurance
- Liberty offers basic group life & disability and supplemental life insurance through The Hartford.

Retirement
- Liberty has several retirement plan options through Transamerica.
- 403(b) or 403(b) Roth
- 457 (b) plan for employees who max out their 403(b)
Paid Leave and Holidays
- Liberty offers all benefitted employees paid time off through vacation hours, sick/personal hours, and holiday hours.
- Additional vacation hours upon the employee’s 6th and 11th year of service
- Maternity leave is available to eligible employees for the birth and the care of a newborn child.
- Adoption leave is available to eligible employees for the adoption and care of a newly adopted child under the age of 13.
- Paid bereavement leave will be provided to eligible employees in a benefited position.
Educational Benefits
- Liberty’s education benefits allow you and/or your dependents to continue your education at little to no cost.
- Covered dependents include spouses and unmarried children under age 27
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- The Hartford Ability Assist Counseling Services is available to all employees and their dependents at no cost.
- Provides support through financial, legal, emotional, and relational guidance and expertise
Other Benefits
In addition to all the benefits listed above there are other perks for working at Liberty University:
- Wellness benefits through an Early Bird membership with Liberty’s LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center
- Allows faculty and staff to utilize the LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center at certain hours and David’s Place at all operational hours for free
- Standard Group Exercise classes that are within the Early Bird hours are also included
- 10% discount at the LU bookstore
- Discounts at on-campus dining locations using Flames Cash
- Discounts on computer hardware & software through the IT Marketplace
