Meet the Team: Rebekah Trittipoe
There’s not much that Rebekah Trittipoe hasn’t done.
She’s written books.
Raced through the Amazon.
Coached sports.
Stopped people’s hearts (on purpose).
Rebekah knows that life is an adventure- sometimes confusing, full of many unexpected turns, but also so full of potential. She loves helping others step into their own unique adventure.
Rebekah hasn’t always known where her path would lead, though. She started her career as a lab technician before getting her certification in circulation technology. This allowed her to become a clinical perfusionist, and for those of us that speak English, these members of an open-heart surgical team stop the heart while still keeping the patient alive. They make the surgeon’s job a lot easier; a beating heart would be pretty tricky to operate on.
Rebekah loved this field and stayed in it for 25 years until life took her elsewhere. She then began coaching, speaking, writing books, and teaching high school classes before becoming the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) campus representative for Liberty University. After six years, Liberty decided to bring all sports ministry under the Shepherd’s Office, and Rebekah wasn’t sure what that meant for her position.
One day at church, she joked with Sarah Fendrich (the Assistant Director of Career Coaching) about needing a job. While there wasn’t a job at the time, Sarah pushed through to open a Health Sciences position that Rebekah could apply for. With all of Rebekah’s experience, she was perfect for the role.
“Life has a way of preparing you for each step of the path,” Rebekah shared.
Working with Students
Now as the Health Sciences career coach, she helps students prepare for their own adventure. She coaches students in BioMed, chemistry, public health, and so much more.
“A lot of students don’t know what they want to be when they grow up, and I get it. I help them think through those things; what’s really of interest to them, what are they good at?”
Rebekah loves this process of walking alongside students and helping them plan for their future. Her goal is that students would find a field of study that reflects their God-given passions and skills and that they would be equipped with all they need to succeed.
Whether it’s resume building, interview preparation, or med school applications, Rebekah is ready to help students prepare for the future. To schedule a career coaching appointment with her, click here.
From Rebekah’s story, it’s clear that the unknown is not something to fear, but rather an opportunity to follow God’s leading.
“It may not feel comfortable, and at times it may be scary, but God’s sovereign and we can trust Him fully.”
