Liberty University Spring 2023 Education Career Fair
Liberty University Career Services is excited to announce the upcoming Education Career Fair for students and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in education. The fair will take place on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 1-4 p.m. in the Montview Student Union Alumni Ballroom. This fair is an excellent opportunity for students and graduates to connect with potential employers and learn about different career paths in education.
The career fair will feature a wide variety of companies and organizations that are dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of education. Attendees can expect to meet with representatives from 75 different organizations, each offering unique opportunities for students and recent graduates. In addition to the opportunity to meet with potential employers, the fair will also feature keynote speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities, providing attendees with valuable insights and expanding their professional network.
“The Spring 2023 Education Career Fair is an exceptional opportunity for students with a heart and passion for working in education to take the first step in their career journey. Whether you’re looking for a job as an elementary, secondary, subject specific, or special education teacher, want to teach in a large or small school, public or private school, and/or Christian school – there is an opportunity at this Career Fair for you.” said Matt Young, Assistant Director of Employer Relations. “Students regularly attend this fair and get interviews on the spot, with many leaving with a job offer or contract in hand! This Career Fair only happens each Spring, so make sure you attend! And with the most employers attending in the history of this Career Fair, you won’t want to miss it.”
Getting Ready
To ensure that attendees make the most of the opportunity to connect with potential employers, it is crucial to prepare for the fair. Here are a few tips for preparing:
- Research the companies and organizations that will be in attendance: Learn about their mission, values, and current initiatives.
- Prepare a professional resume and business cards: Have a resume and business cards ready to give to representatives from the companies and organizations that interest you.
- Practice your interviewing skills: The fair provides an opportunity to meet with representatives from companies and organizations, and it’s a great opportunity to practice your interviewing skills. Consider rehearsing some common interview questions and answers.
Following up after the fair is also an important step in securing a job or internship opportunity by sending thank-you emails, connecting on LinkedIn, and following up on any opportunities discussed during the fair. The fair is open to all students and recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in education. The event is free to attend, and pre-registration is not required.
