Job boards allow you to begin expanding your search to a wide range of opportunities. Make sure to filter search results based on various search criteria such as location, industry, and job title, to streamline your job search process. 

Handshake is a great place to get started since the employers are looking for LU students and grads! It also allows you to chat with students who have worked or interned with specific employers so you can gain insight into a role or company. 

Tailoring application documents demonstrates your interest in the specific position and allows you to highlight relevant skills and experiences that specifically align with the job requirements and company culture.

Network at a career fair to boost your job search efforts.  You can learn about new employers you never heard of, expand your knowledge about different job titles, and learn what employers are looking for in job applications.  Liberty has 14+ job fairs each year that are focused on different industries.  Check out all the fairs that may be in a field you may want to pursue!

Students who have obtained an internship offer and are seeking to request an internship for credit should review the internship requirements for their degree.

• Not all academic programs utilize Handshake Experiences for students requesting practicum or internships for credit. Students are encouraged to review their program websites for additional information on requirements and completing practicum and internships for credit.
• Students are encouraged to review the academic deadlines for submitting requests for practicums and internships.
• Handshake Experiences approvals and management are completed through each academic department. Career Services cannot approve or change applications for practicums or internships. Please contact your Faculty Practicum & Internship Advisors  if you have questions or issues regarding your Handshake Experiences request.

  • Complete the required information regarding your internship site
