All Majors, All Possibilities
The LaHaye Multipurpose room was buzzing with life on October 5, 2021 during Liberty University’s Fall 2021 All-Majors Career Fair. The space was filled with prospect interns, employees, and employers. Students with majors ranging from Aviation to Criminal Justice had the opportunity to connect with employers and ask questions about what it was like to work in the field that they are interested in and to potentially establish a relationship, acquire an internship, or maybe even land a job. In order to aid in the promotion of the event hosted by Liberty University Career Services, the four major employers present were Simplistic Automation, the United States Navy, First Bank and Trust, and SkyWest Airlines, and they presented students with the opportunity to lean in and learn more about prospective careers that are available to them.
Highlights of the Career Fair
A Navy spokesperson, Ashley, spoke about how much they value honor, courage, and commitment, but also mentioned how important it was for interested students to be well-rounded and well-educated, qualities important not just for aspiring sailors, but for aspiring professionals in any field. She also emphasized how amazing it was to be welcomed to Liberty the way they were during the career fair.
“Liberty students have shown really good morals and are overall well-rounded people. The Deans have emphasized that they don’t just want you to be good at academics. They want you to be good at physical fitness. They want you to be good morally, spiritually, and that really makes a difference,” said Ashley.
The Fall 2021 All-Majors Career Fair was a huge success to the extent that students were able to connect with employers from all over neighboring counties and states, ask questions about what a job in their particular field of interest would be like, and become more solidified and affirmed in their career of choice.
