Transcript Request Information

Costs

• Official transcripts: $10 for the first copy and $1 for each additional copy on the same request. This price applies to both electronic and mailed official transcripts.
• Unofficial transcripts: Free

Processing

• Transcript requests are processed within 2 business days.
• Requests submitted over the weekend will begin processing the following business week.
• Expedited shipping does not shorten the processing time. All requests are processed in the order they are received.

Shipping

Standard Mailing

• After processing, transcripts are mailed via USPS regular mail and typically arrive within 2–14 business days, depending on the destination.

Electronic Transcripts

• After the 2-business-day processing time, electronic official transcripts are typically delivered to the recipient within 2–4 hours.

Expedited Shipping

• Cost: $20 per address in addition to the transcript fee.
• Eligibility: Available for U.S. street addresses only.
• Restrictions: Not available for international addresses, PO Boxes, or APO addresses.
• If expedited shipping is selected for an ineligible address, the option will be canceled and the transcript will be sent via standard USPS mail.

Electronic Transcripts can be ordered using:

• The online Transcript Request Form – select “Send Digital Copy” and enter the recipient’s email address,
• or the printable Transcript Request Form – write the recipient’s email address in the “Send transcript to” section

Important Notes:

• NOTE: Students with majors or degrees that are a part of the ABET are unable to order electronic transcripts.
• Notify the recipient of the electronic transcript to check any spam/junk mail folders for the emails.
• Electronic transcripts are only official to the direct recipient. They cannot be forwarded or printed by the recipient as an official transcript.

Unofficial transcripts are available to download on Banner Self-Service (SSB Student):

• Using your username and password, log onto Liberty University’s website (under Student Login).
• Once you’re logged in click on SSB Student. 
• Click on “Academic Transcript.”
• From here, you can choose to view your Unofficial Transcript.

The transcript fee is waived for all military members (active duty, discharged, retired, etc)

• Fee waiver does not apply to military spouses or dependents
• If expedited shipping is requested, payment is required for the expedited shipping charge

To Order Your Transcripts:

• Email LUTranscripts@Liberty.edu from your Liberty University or military email address
• Or complete the online Transcript Request Form.
• Indicate that you are a military student on your order
