Biography
Dr. Hutchison is a quantitative psychologist. Her dissertation research combined mathematics test development and validation with math cognition. While at UVA, Hutchison taught statistics to graduate students as the instructor of record and was a debugger for the psychometric software jMetrik. Prior to her time at Liberty University, Dr. Hutchison spent twenty years teaching AP Statistics, AP Calculus, dual-enrollment, and other mathematics courses to high school students. In 2015, Dr. Hutchison was a Beta Reviewer with Psychological Assessment Resources (PAR) for the Feifer Assessment of Mathematics. She has a passion for teaching and aims to make her instruction meaningful for students by employing cognitive maps, discovery activities, and applets.
