Health and Dental Insurance
Non-VA Employees: Liberty offers two medical plans through Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield:
- KeyCare High Deductible Health Plan
- Keycare Low Deductible
- Both plans provide vision coverage with Anthem Blue View Vision.
VA Employees: Liberty offers three medical plans through Anthem BCBS:
- HealthKeepers High Deductible
- HealthKeepers Low Deductible
- HealthKeepers High Deductible Premier
- Each VA medical plan gives access to high-quality primary care services at little to no out-of-pocket costs through Direct Primary Care (DPC).
Dental: Liberty offers one dental plan through Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
Life and Disability Insurance
Liberty offers basic group life and disability, supplemental life, and supplemental plans Hospital indemnity, critical illness, and accident insurance through Voya Financial.

Retirement
- Liberty has several retirement plan options through Transamerica.
- 403(b) or 403(b) Roth
- 457 (b) plan for employees who max out their 403(b)
Paid Leave and Holidays
- Liberty offers all benefited employees paid time off through vacation hours, sick/personal hours, and holiday hours. Additional vacation hours upon the employee’s 5th and 10th year of service.
- Maternity leave is available to eligible employees for the birth and care of a newborn child.
- Adoption leave is available to eligible employees for the adoption and care of a newly adopted child under the age of 13.
- Paid bereavement leave will be provided to eligible employees in a benefited position.
Educational Benefits
Liberty’s education benefits allow you and/or your dependents to continue your education at little to no cost. Covered dependents include spouses and unmarried children under age 27.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
An employee assistance program through Compsych and Voya is available to all employees and their dependents at no cost. It provides support through financial, legal, emotional, and relational guidance and expertise.

- Wellness benefits through an Early Bird membership with Liberty’s LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center
- Allows faculty and staff to utilize the LaHaye Recreation & Fitness Center at certain hours and David’s Place at all operational hours for free
