To enable Liberty to respond effectively and prevent future Sexual Misconduct, certain Liberty employees and student-employees who are not Confidential Resources are designated as Mandatory Reporters.
Generally, Mandatory Reporters include employees and student-employees who have been given the duty of reporting acts of Sexual Misconduct to the Title IX Coordinator by the University and employees who a student could reasonably believe have the authority to take action to address Sexual Misconduct or a duty to report it.
At Liberty, Mandatory Reporters include the following populations:

All Mandatory Reporters (those listed above) who receive information about Sexual Misconduct are REQUIRED to report that information to the Title IX Coordinator by using the Report an Incident form below or by emailing oec@liberty.edu
Reports must be made as soon as possible, be in writing, and include all relevant details needed to assess the situation. This includes, to the extent known, the names of the Complainant, Respondent, and other individuals involved in the incident, as well as any known relevant facts, including the date, time, place, and circumstances of the incident.
All other Liberty employees who are neither Confidential Resources nor Mandatory Reporters and who receive such information in the course of their employment position or duties are strongly encouraged to report possible incidents of Sexual Misconduct to the Title IX Coordinator.
