Hands-On Experience

Each student from our BFA in Film Production and Creative Development – Producing Media program graduates with their own film created in a theatrical 4K workflow using RED Weapon cameras and an up to 5.1 surround sound mix.

As a student in the Zaki Gordon Center for Cinematic Arts, you will have access to world-class facilities and work on a variety of projects. Throughout this program, you will take courses in screenwriting, post-production, sound production, and more.

In addition, you will take courses in branding and entrepreneurship as well as feature production. With courses like these, you can gain experience in the world of film production and creative development before you graduate. For your specialization, you will have the opportunity to take courses of your choosing, including courses in development and pre-production, scheduling and budgeting, and advanced producing. We also offer suggested course sequences if you want to focus specifically on either producing or narrative content. Throughout your time in the program, you’ll have the chance to create a short film you wrote and directed, complete a polished feature-length screenplay, and craft a business plan to support that screenplay. You can also earn certifications in tools like Avid, Adobe, and DaVinci, and develop a demo reel that reflects your growth and creativity.

Use Professional-Grade Equipment

You’ll gain experience with equipment and facilities designed to match industry standards. This includes ADR booths with 7.1 surround, Audio-Technical microphones, DeSisti lights, mixing and coloring suites, RED cameras and lenses, and more – all to support your creative projects from start to finish.

Create in the Zaki Gordon Cinematic Arts Center

Your work will come to life in our dedicated cinematic arts building, which houses 2 large editing labs and a THX-certified 7.1 dubbing stage. This space is built for hands-on experience and can help you grow both your technical and storytelling abilities as you prepare for your next steps.

Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:
