What Will You Learn in Our Bachelor of Science in History and History Master’s Program?
Within the bachelor’s portion of this program, you’ll explore topics such as the history of Western civilization, historiography, and American history. You’ll also take a course in historical methodology, where you can learn about the meaning and interpretation of history, research techniques, and career opportunities in the field. Additionally, the BS in History includes room for multiple history elective courses as well as free electives, so you can round out your undergraduate studies with classes that align with your passions and goals!
As you move into the history master’s degree, you’ll explore various aspects of graduate-level historical research – including research tools and methods, writing, and citations. Our program also covers the impact of Christianity on American political, social, and cultural history. Similar to the bachelor’s degree, you’ll have the freedom to take several graduate history elective courses as well as elective courses in other fields of study – giving you the opportunity to mix and match various topics of interest.

Admission Requirements for Our Undergraduate Degrees
Every application is reviewed by the admission committee on a case-by-case basis, meaning there are no set minimums for acceptance. However, all applicants must submit the following documents* for admission:
- Admission application
- Official high school transcripts
- Official college transcripts (if applicable)
- Results from the CLT, SAT, or ACT are not required for admission, but may be used in consideration for merit-based aid.
- Admission essay
*Note that additional documentation may be requested by the admission committee after your application has been received.
Completion of the undergraduate portion of this program with a 3.0 GPA is required to move into the graduate portion.
