Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Undergraduate Completion
- IPEDS First-Year Retention Rates. The University has set goals on retention rates for all first-time/full-time undergraduate students to perform between the threshold and the target goal averages but will continue to strive towards its institutional goal of 85% within the next three to five years.
- IPEDS Six-Year Graduation Rates. The University has set goals on six-year graduation rate for all first-time/full-time undergraduate students to perform between the threshold and the target goal averages but will continue to strive towards its institutional goal of 71% within the next three to five years.
Comparative Analysis of KPIs
Each indicator consists of an OUTCOME based on the first-year cohort’s academic results. At a minimum, these outcomes should be performing at its THRESHOLD OF ACCEPTABILITY based on the five-year average of IPEDS national data for four-year private not-for-profit institutions; and at a ceiling of the TARGET GOAL based on the five-year average of the most recently reported IPEDS data from peer institutions. Additionally, an INSTITUTIONAL GOAL is also provided to show Liberty University’s commitment to exceed industry standards within the next three to five years, and concludes with a short narrative of findings for context.
