Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Certification
ACSI Certification is necessary for any educator who wants to teach in an ACSI-accredited K-12 school.

Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate students seeking ACSI certification should be aware of the following:
- Who is eligible for ACSI certification?
- Students completing an approved ACSI program through Liberty University Online’s B.S. Education Interdisciplinary Studies pre-licensure programs and completing the EDUC 390 Teaching Practicum capstone course (note that the Early Childhood Education program does not lead to ACSI certification).
- EDUC 390 is an A term 16 week, 300-hour practicum course wherein the candidate must serve and co-teach in a classroom each day for the semester and must also acquire at least 150 hours of direct teaching where he/she is teaching and leading the class.
- Students completing a Liberty University bachelor’s degree with Teacher Licensure and completing student teaching.
- How does a student apply for ACSI certification?
- The student must complete an eligible bachelor’s degree through Liberty University (see above).
- The student must complete and submit the ACSI Higher Education Accredited Programs (HEAP) Certification Application.
- With the application, students must include an official copy of their transcript that shows the degree was conferred.
- There are NO certification fees for eligible Liberty University students applying for an initial ACSI certification.

Graduate Students
Graduate students seeking ACSI certification should be aware of the following:
- Who is eligible for ACSI certification?
- Students completing an approved ACSI program through Liberty University Online’s Graduate Education programs and completing Biblical Studies coursework* and practicum and student teaching/internship courses (EDUC/EDST 590, 591, 592, 593, EDUC 699 or EDCE 699).
- *Conferred undergraduate degree at an accredited Christian college or completion of 10 Biblical Studies credit hours.
- Students completing an approved ACSI program through Liberty University Online’s Graduate Education programs and completing Biblical Studies coursework* and practicum and student teaching/internship courses (EDUC/EDST 590, 591, 592, 593, EDUC 699 or EDCE 699).
- How does a student apply for ACSI certification?
- The student must complete an eligible Graduate Education program through Liberty University (see above).
