Program Expectations & Advising Resources for the Ed.D. in Curriculum & Instruction: Instructional Design & Technology, Non-Licensure
The Doctor of Education program prepares candidates to be competent, effective leaders with a Christian worldview who will model high standards and assume a leadership role in the field of education. Leaders in the field of education are seen as those who assume a facilitating role in accomplishing the goals and objectives of an education system, whether it be as a teacher, superintendent, principal, curriculum director, instructional supervisor, or university administrator.
The Ed.D. is a fifty-four-hour program and culminates in a capstone project.
Certain prerequisites may be required by Liberty University’s School of Education for those seeking to become candidates in the doctoral program, specifically those with a non-educational undergraduate background or candidates who meet the equivalent of an academic major in a liberal arts area.
