Interdisciplinary Studies Program

The Interdisciplinary Studies program gives you the opportunity to combine 2 or 3 unique areas of study to customize your major with multiple disciplines.

For each Area of Study, you can choose a general area of study or a specialized one. General areas of study have a list of course codes you can choose any course from. Specialized areas of study have specific classes you are required to take.

  • Aviation Sciences

    General Area of Study

    When you select Aviation Sciences as a General Area of Study, you can choose any courses with the following prefixes (course abbreviations):

    • Aeronautics (AVIA) – offered on-campus and online
    • Aerospace (AVIA) – offered on-campus and online
    • Air Safety (AVIA) – offered on-campus and online

    *No prior experience or training is needed for the general education or special education area of study. It does not lead to teacher licensure nor certification but is an excellent stepping stone toward earning a graduate degree in Education. A background check is required for these areas of study.
