Additionally, coursework in evangelism, intercultural engagement, and pastoral care can help you apply your biblical knowledge in practical ways – so you can prepare to serve in teaching, preaching, and discipleship roles. With the opportunity to complete a thesis, you can dive deeper into biblical research and help address pressing issues in ministry today.
Whether you are looking to enhance your preaching, teach with greater clarity, or engage in scholarly biblical research, our goal is to help you take the next step toward reaching your full ministry potential. Partner with us and deepen your knowledge of Scripture as you prepare to help further the Kingdom of God.
What’s the Difference Between the Biblical Interpretation and Advanced Biblical Interpretation Degree Tracks?
Liberty’s MDiv in Christian Ministries offers a biblical interpretation track and an advanced biblical interpretation track. For the most part, these 2 specializations cover the same courses and topics of study. The only difference is that the advanced biblical interpretation track includes a thesis component, while the biblical interpretation track does not.
This means you can pick the option that best suits your interests and career goals! If you’d like to do a deep dive into a particular divinity topic, conduct scholarly research, and demonstrate your expertise by writing a thesis, the advanced biblical interpretation track may be right for you. Alternatively, if you’re looking to complete a slightly shorter course of study that lets you hone your knowledge of Scripture and prepare for potential doctoral studies without needing to complete a thesis, the regular biblical interpretation track may be a better fit.
