School of Behavioral Sciences

The School of Behavioral Sciences exists to promote an integrated understanding of science, practice, and faith. Programs prepare future graduates  dedicated to impacting the fields of Psychology, Counseling, and Social Work within the context of a commitment to scientific competence and the demonstration of best practices supported by a Christian Worldview.

Dr. Hawkins has over 20 years of experience in mental health counseling, counselor training and consulting. His teaching and research interests include applied theories, career counseling, spirituality and mental health and integration of psychology, theology and spirituality. 
 

Steve WarrenSteve Warren, Ph.D.
Administrative Dean

Dr. Warren has been involved in administration for a number of years at Liberty University. He was previously the Associate Dean in the Psychology department, before moving into the same role in the Counseling department in 2012. Before attaining a counseling degree and transitioning into working in Higher Education administration, he worked as a pastor working with families and adolescents.
