BA Interdisciplinary Studies
Niche Best Colleges White

We designed our interdisciplinary studies degree program to provide opportunities for you to increase your job marketability by expanding your foundational knowledge in various areas. Regardless of your study area, you can receive training in some basic disciplines like career planning, professional development, communication skills, writing, and public speaking. Your degree completion plan will vary based on your goals and passions.

When choosing our Bachelor of Arts track, you will have a foreign language course requirement; this added language elective can help prepare you for graduate degree programs, as some universities require you to have a foreign language reading ability for admission to their programs. Having a foreign language ability can also be helpful if you wish to pursue careers in an international context.

For each area of study, you can choose between general or specialized. General areas of study have a list of courses you can choose from. Specialized areas of study have specific classes you are required to take. Turn your previous college credit, military training, or other non-traditional sources into credit toward completing this degree.

Our Department of Interdisciplinary Studies is conveniently located in DeMoss Hall, where students can meet with faculty advisors and address any concerns or questions.
