Lighthouse Community Mission
Lighthouse Community Mission is dedicated to improving life for people in a vulnerable state. CSER volunteers help to prepare and serve food to guests, help prepare and supply donations, and fellowships with guests.
Parkview Community Mission
Parkview Community Mission is dedicated to restoring families and building relationships that give hope. CSER volunteers will help with front desk duties, pantry help, and helping pack food boxes.
Lynchburg Parks & Rec
Lynchburg Parks and Rec focus on contributing to a healthy, active, and educated community. They also are responsible for the stewardship of local parklands, trails, and center facilities. CSER volunteers can look to help with a wide variety of tasks like becoming a sitter assistant, feeding animals in the nature zone, beautifying local trails, and city-wide events.
Lynchburg Grows
Lynchburg Grows is a 7-acre farm in the heart of the city. Their mission is to provide purposeful employment to people with disabilities and to increase access to healthy food options for the community. CSER volunteers help with planting, harvesting and cleaning around the farm. They also get the chance to practice and learn gardening skills.
Inglesia de Las Americas
Iglesia De Las Americas focuses on community health work in the Lynchburg area. As a CSER volunteer students help with community projects like, health fairs, health education, and nutrition stations.
Peaceful Valley
Peaceful Valley’s mission is to provide a safe and loving environment to all donkeys that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned and wild burros under threat of destruction. Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue has rescued over 16,000 donkeys. As a CSER volunteer, students will give attention to sick and recovering donkeys, clean different areas of the property, and will have training opportunities to be hands-on with medical and training donkeys.
