Description
Calvary Chapel Lynchburg has a number of service opportunities for our three Sunday services (3 on Sunday morning and 1 on Sunday night), for our Wednesday evening service, as well as for other various church ministries. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, volunteering in the following areas:
Children’s Ministry:
We need teachers and nursery workers to assist with pouring into children, ages infant to 5th grade.
Middle School and High School:
There are a limited number of great opportunities for students to become an integral part of our ministry to our youth as part of the team disciplining the youth.
Praise & Worship:
We have opportunities for folks to lead and participate in praise and worship for all of our church services. We also have opportunities to lead worship for our nursing home ministry, college-age ministry, and home fellowships.
Production: (sound, lighting, ProPresenter, camera operation, live stream, audio for livestream)
We have many opportunities for people to help support worship services in the sanctuary: at the soundboard, at our lighting console, running ProPresenter 7, running our live stream, operating our camera switcher, operating our cameras, and mixing our broadcast audio (fed to our radio broadcasts and live stream).
Videography:
Limited volunteer opportunities exist to develop video announcements and ministry storytelling videos. While training is provided, experience is strongly preferred.
Church Service Support Areas:
Opportunities exist for volunteers with our hospitality and greeting teams, as well as with other support areas.
Community Outreach:
We have a number of different volunteer roles in our Nursing Home ministry as well as several youth ministry groups including American Heritage Girls, Trail Life for Boys, and Kids Outdoor Zone (for boys ages 8-18 without a Godly man active in their lives). Volunteers with a heart for these groups and the gifts of administration, helps, teaching, worship, and many others are welcome.

Description
Students are encouraged to be “All In!” for this season of ministry. We have three main areas students can be involved in from Guest Experience, Production, & eKidz (Children) for both our 9:30AM worship experience!
Guest Experience – We believe the sermon starts in the parking lot! We have teams that are there to make our guests feel right at home from parking their car, greeting them if it’s their first time, and ushering them to a seat. If you love interacting with people, this is something for you!
Production – Lights, Camera, Video, Audio…This is the technical side of the worship experience. You have the opportunity to share the gospel by making the worship experience happen. If you are a morning person and love tech, this role is just for you!
eKidz & Youth – When you volunteer with our children or youth, you are sowing seeds into the next generation of Jesus followers. You can be a group leader for our youth, or be holding babies. Regardless, you are allowing Jesus to be shared by your service! For our youth, we do extra activities outside of regular church hours. The days are long, but the relationships you form will last longer!
Procedures
Volunteer Orientation – We call it E101 which is a time for you to meet our staff, hear about the vision of our church, and find a place for you to serve. Next is a campus tour of the different volunteer areas to learn about where you can serve!
Background checks are required for all volunteers.

At Faith Alliance Church, we have an inter-generational worship approach. The opportunities at Lynchburg City Church are unlimited. We are a small church for which many ministries do not exist simply because no one has taken the initiative to start them. If you have a specific passion then we want you to pursue that with us for our joy and God’s Glory. We are both a 9Marks & Gospel Coalition Church, and believe that as followers of Jesus we should be making disciples in the everyday parts of life. We are not primarily looking for people to come and do CSER. Description
At Waymaker.Church, we love to give our time and energy to the local church because we believe serving draws others to Jesus and helps us grow. We have opportunities for serving in multiple ministry areas on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.
If it’s your first time serving at Waymaker.Church, we do require you to attend our one-time environment, Discover Serving, which happens on Sunday mornings. In Discover Serving, you will learn about our serving culture, find out why we call our volunteers World Changers, and discover the areas where you can serve. For most serving areas, you will receive 2.75 hours of CSER credit per Sunday. There are some exceptions to this depending on the team.
Before registering, you are required to reach out to the supervisor via the contact information above to confirm availability.
