Support Liberty University’s Scholarships
One of the best ways to support students at Liberty University is to give towards a scholarship. Below is a list of established scholarships. If you would like to start a new scholarship, contact the Office of Development at Development@liberty.edu or call us at (866) 602-7983.
Scholarship Giving Opportunities
Aaron Horton Scholarship
Aaron Horton was twenty-four years old when he graduated from Liberty with a history degree in 2007. He and his wife, a Liberty alumna, were tragically killed on April 8, 2011, when an early morning fire broke out in their apartment building. The Aaron Horton Memorial Scholarship Fund is for undergraduate or graduate students majoring in history.
Alumni Association Scholarship
Support the next generation of Champions for Christ by giving to the Alumni Association Scholarship fund. This scholarship is 100% funded by Liberty Alumni to support students in financial need. Campaign-funded scholarships are awarded each year to eligible students. Help us to pass the flame from champion to champion.
Charlotte Large Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Charlotte Large Memorial Scholarship Fund seeks to provide scholarship awards to students from Southwest Virginia, but it is open to other Virginia applicants.
College of Applied Science and Academic Success (CASAS) Scholarship Fund
Gifts to the CASAS Fund will help students achieve a Technical Studies Associate of Applied Sciences (A.A.S.) degree.
College of Arts and Sciences Scholarship Fund
Your gift to the College of Arts and Sciences Scholarship Fund will help train students in areas such as English, Math, Science, History, Modern Languages, and Family & Consumer Sciences.
College of Osteopathic Medicine Scholarship Fund
Gifts to the Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine Scholarship Fund will help student doctors earn their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
Dr. Claudia Tongret Wigglesworth School of Music Scholarship for Violin Performance Major
Donations will be used to award scholarships to students enrolled as Bachelor of Science candidates with a Violin String Performance Major in the School of Music.
Dr. Thomas W. Eppes Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Dr. Thomas W. Eppes Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund was created in recognition of the many years of service performed by Dr. Eppes, a beloved family physician. Recipients must be fourth-year students at the College of Osteopathic Medicine intending to enter Family Medicine.
Established in memory of Dr. Jerry Falwell, the Founder’s Scholarship helps students who would otherwise not be able to afford a college education to become Champions for Christ.
General Scholarship Fund
Your financial gift to the General Scholarship Fund helps deserving students achieve their educational goals with financial support as determined by Student Financial Services.
George Jenkins Legacy Scholarship (School of Business)
Established in memory of entrepreneur George Jenkins, founder of Publix Super Markets, this fund awards scholarships to students enrolled in the Liberty University School of Business.
Helms School of Government Scholarship Fund
Gifts to this scholarship fund will assist students studying Criminal Justice, Government, Public Policy, International Relations, and more in the Helms School of Government.
Heroes Fund Scholarship
The Heroes Fund Scholarship shows appreciation for service members who have been wounded while protecting our country. Financial gifts will help these individuals accomplish their dream of earning a college degree.
Ilona Adaline Bailey Memorial Scholarship Fund
Your gift to the Ilona Adaline Bailey Memorial Scholarship Fund will be used to provide scholarship awards for full-time students in the School of Nursing.
Jeffrey Owen Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund
Your gift to the Jeffrey Owen Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund will help provide scholarships to Liberty University students enrolled in the Athletic Training program. Thank you for your support!
Liberty University Club Sports Scholarship
Giving to the Club Sports Scholarship will assist students who participate in Club Sports and demonstrate an example of leadership while exemplifying the mentality and character of being a Champion for Christ.
Liberty University Online Academy (LUOA) Scholarship Fund
Thank you for your generous gift to the Liberty University Online Academy Scholarship Fund. Your donation will be used to provide financial aid to students in need.
Gifts to this fund will be used to provide scholarship assistance for sophomore students from the Commonwealth of Virginia who are enrolled in the School of Nursing.
Lynchburg Life Saving Crew Chief Emeritus Kimball Glass Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established in memory of the longtime chief of the Lynchburg Life Saving Crew, Kimball Glass. Recipients must be enrolled in the Master of Science in Homeland Security and Disaster Management program. Preference is given to students who have served as EMTs or firefighters, especially as volunteers.
Marion S. Rine and Gladys M. Rine Memorial Scholarship Fund
These donations will assist students from West Virginia who enroll in the School of Divinity with the goal of pastoral ministry.
Mark W. Steinhoff Memorial Scholarship (Department of History)
Established in memory of Mark W. Steinhoff, a longtime professor of history at Liberty University, and in recognition of his years of service, these funds are awarded to students enrolled in the Department of History of the College of Arts and Sciences.
Matthew Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship fund was established to provide financial awards to full-time students enrolled with the College of Arts and Sciences pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts.
MGW Communications Scholarship Fund
Donations will help train full-time students preparing for Christian leadership in business, or who are preparing for the mission field.
Missionary Kids Scholarship
Your gift to the Missionary Kids Scholarship helps children of missionaries serving with Liberty-approved mission agencies.
Parent Loss Scholarship
The Parent Loss Scholarship provides current students with financial assistance for education expenses and emergency travel funds after losing a parent.
Rawlings School of Divinity Scholarship Fund
Gifts to the Rawlings School of Divinity Scholarship Fund will help train students preparing for the ministry. Your gifts will help students in Pastoral Leadership, Global Studies, Youth Ministries, Theology, Apologetics, and more.
Rebecca and Alton Thigpen Art Award Scholarship Fund
Donations will be used to award scholarships to students pursuing a degree in the Department of Studio and Digital Arts.
Ricky Hendrick Scholarship
The Ricky Hendrick Scholarship Fund is for students who are passionate about pursuing a career in the automotive industry. Students enrolled in the Automotive Dealership Management program are eligible to apply.
School of Aeronautics Scholarship Fund
Gifts will be used to provide scholarship assistance to full-time degree candidates enrolled in the School of Aeronautics.
School of Business Scholarship Fund
Your gift to the School of Business Scholarship Fund will help train business leaders of tomorrow.
School of Behavioral Sciences Scholarship Fund
Your donation to the School of Behavioral Sciences Scholarship Fund will help Train Champions for Christ earning degrees in Counseling, Psychology, and Social Work (all taught from a Christian worldview).
School of Communication & the Arts Scholarship Fund
Donations will provide aid to students training to work as actors, artists, graphic designers, filmmakers, or in fields such as radio, television, or print journalism.
School of Education Training Teachers for Tomorrow Scholarship Fund
Gifts given to this fund will be used to help students prepare for a career in teaching, school administration, curriculum development, higher education administration, and more.
School of Engineering Scholarship Fund
Donations to the School of Engineering Scholarship Fund help provide financial assistance to students earning degrees in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and more.
School of Health Sciences Scholarship Fund
Donations to the School of Health Sciences Scholarship Fund will be given to students studying biology, chemistry, allied health professions, and public and community health.
School of Law Ebenezer Scholarship Fund
The Ebenezer Scholarship Fund provides financial tuition assistance for students within the School of Law earning a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
School of Nursing Scholarship Fund
The School of Nursing at Liberty University blends the art of caring with the expertise of science and research, giving students a holistic approach to the nursing profession. Gifts to the School of Nursing Scholarship Fund will help train students in this critical field of healthcare.
Sherwin Cook Foundation Scholarship
The Sherwin Cook Foundation Scholarship was established in memory of Mr. T. Sherwin Cook, a longtime Liberty University Board of Trustees member and benefactor. This fund provides scholarships for students coming from economically disadvantaged areas of Appalachia in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Preference is given to students in programs of study such as business, healthcare, pastoral ministry, aviation, and engineering.
Student Scholarship Endowment Fund
Donations to the Student Scholarship Endowment Fund will help generate perpetual scholarship awards for Liberty students.
The Adeeb Mickahail Scholarship Fund (School of Divinity)
This fund was established to provide scholarship awards to students enrolled in a Master of Arts or Master of Divinity program within the Rawlings School of Divinity.
The Georgia M. Moore Scholarship Fund at Rawlings School of Divinity
Donations will be used for scholarship grants to full-time residential students enrolled in the Rawlings School of Divinity.
The Selah Scholarship Fund (School of Divinity)
This award will be given to full-time students enrolled as Music and Worship Studies (B.S. or B.M.) degree candidates.
Todd Kemery Disabled Veterans’ Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Todd Kemery Disabled Veterans’ Endowed Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to Liberty University students who have a documented physical disability and financial need, and are either United States veterans or active-duty service members.
The William and Gertrude Ontjes Endowment Scholarship
This Endowment Scholarship provides financial assistance to full-time students enrolled at Liberty University.
Washington Fellowship Scholarship Fund
The Washington Fellowship Scholarship Fund helps students of all majors who serve as an intern working in Congress or a company in Washington, D. C., providing valuable experience toward a future career.
