Rich Wilkerson, Jr.

DECEMBER 30, 2016

Rich Wilkerson, Jr. is the pastor of the Vous Church in Miami, Florida where he seeks to deliver the message of God’s love to a young generation in need of the gospel. His book, Sandcastle Kings demonstrates the need for a relationship with our Savior in a morally corrupt world.

Rich and his wife DawnChere moved to Miami after graduating from Lee University in May 2007 to work for Trinity Church where Wilkerson served as the executive pastor. In the fall of 2007, Wilkerson and DawnChere began a young adult gathering called The Rendezvous, which served as a gathering place every Tuesday night to “worship God and connect with others.” What started with twelve leaders grew over several years to be a gathering of over one thousand attendees weekly. Over time the Rendezvous became known as “The Vous” and developed into a gathering that includes worship music, inspirational teaching, rap, spoken word and other creative elements that continually vary.

In 2014 Wilkerson started a church plant in downtown Miami called The Vous Church. With exciting and powerful sermons, Wilkerson relates to the younger generations and fights for every chance to bring thirsty hearts into a relationship with Jesus. Coupled with the role of Senior Pastor, Rich Wilkerson, Jr. also serves as the executive producer of The Vous Worship, original music written and recorded by The Vous music team. Their first full-length album “Into The Night” reached #2 on the iTunes Christian charts in June 2014.

David Nasser

DECEMBER 31, 2016

David Nasser, Senior Vice President for Spiritual Development, can be seen weekly in Convocation and Campus Community leading the spiritual life of Liberty University. Nasser is also the founder of D. Nasser Outreach and Christ City Church near Birmingham, Ala., where he most recently served as lead pastor. He has written four books and speaks to more than 500,000 people each year at various events across the country. At Liberty, he oversees a team that advances the university’s mission by strengthening the theological foundation of the student body and its leaders through gatherings such as Campus Community and Convocation, the world’s largest weekly gathering of Christian young people. He helps steer the discipleship process of seeing students come to Christ and grow in their faith while mobilizing students and faculty to reach the world for Christ through humanitarian efforts, church planting, and cohesive ministry partnerships.

Nasser was born in Iran but left the country with his family at age 9 during the Iranian Revolution. After almost a year in exile, his family moved to America. At age 18, he rejected his Muslim heritage and became a Christian. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children.

Holt International, the exclusive ministry partner for Winterfest 2016, seeks a world where every child has the support and resources to reach their full potential — a world where every child has a loving and secure home. Since their founding in 1956, Holt has worked toward their vision through programs that strengthen and preserve families that are at risk of separation; by providing critical care and support to orphaned and vulnerable children; and by leading the global community in finding families for children who need them and providing the pre- and post-adoption support and resources they need to thrive.

Always, Holt focuses on each child’s unique needs — keeping the child’s best interest at the forefront of every decision.
