Tom Arnold

Tom has been a part of Liberty University and related ministries for more than three decades.  As vice president of Development, he provides direction, expertise, training, and support to the departments under his leadership, which include the Call Center, Planned Giving, Alumni Relations, and Development. He is responsible for the leadership, management, and implementation of comprehensive philanthropy programs that support the short- and long-range operating, capital, and endowment fundraising objectives of Liberty. As the university’s major fundraiser, he serves as lead strategist and solicitor for acquisition of all gifts and donations to the university through deferred giving, as well as stewardship programs for annual, capital, and special projects.

Jim Nelson

Everett W. Foutz Jr. 

Everett Foutz has served with the Development Office, both in estate planning (since 2003) and as director of development (since January 2016). He came to Liberty with a strong background in the retail jewelry business (32 years) and quickly put his knowledge and experience to work developing relationships with the university’s top donors. Everett handles prospect research, solicitation, scholarships, and donor stewardship along with his planned giving officer responsibilities. He assists the vice president in establishing both long-term and short-term fundraising goals and in developing strategies for attaining these goals. His wife, Dianne, is an administrative assistant with Liberty University Online, and his daughter, Emily, is the director of Military Affairs. Everett is a team player and is dedicated to the mission and vision of Liberty University.

Susan Barringer

Susan Barringer

Susan began working for Thomas Road Baptist Church in 1975 and has since worked for a number of ministries associated with Dr. Jerry Falwell including, the Old-Time Gospel Hour, Liberty Broadcasting Network, Liberty Alliance, and finally, Liberty University. During her time at Liberty University, Susan served in the Marketing Department as manager of Operations and Customer Relations. In this role, she supervised Donor Services, Data Entry, the Call Center, and Fulfillment. She currently serves as the executive assistant to the vice president of Development and manager of the Development Call Center.
