For the fourth year in a row, Liberty University’s Center for Music & Worship was recognized by Worship Leader Magazine as one of the best worship programs in the nation in the annual “Best of the Best” issue.
“Liberty has a huge contingency of music and worship students, but it’s known even more for its quality educational opportunities,” Worship Leader Magazine stated in the issue. “Liberty has a track record for preparing you for your future.”
The magazine surveys worship leaders and media specialists around the world for its “best of” issue, featuring top picks in music, software, books, and other worship resources. The publication has more than 200,000 subscribers.
“It is an honor when a prestigious organization like Worship Leader Magazine recognizes the unique contribution Liberty is making to this discipline through undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs in worship,” said Dr. Vernon Whaley, dean of Liberty’s School of Music. “Worship Leader is THE leading trade magazine for worship leaders around the world. It has long recognized the innovative and practical approach that the Center for Music & Worship has taken in developing worship degrees. Liberty’s degree programs in worship are the largest and most market-focused of any in the country.”
The Center for Music & Worship started in 2005 and at the time was one of only five worship programs nationwide. Today there are nearly 130 worship programs at colleges and universities across the country, and Liberty’s is the largest and most comprehensive in the world.
