Before the football game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a special military tailgate beginning at 11:30 a.m. on the front lawn of the Hancock Welcome Center. All veterans are welcome to participate.
The game will feature military-themed pregame and halftime festivities. At halftime, Liberty will recognize this year’s recipient of the George Rogers Champion of Freedom Award. Liberty’s Spirit of the Mountain Marching Band will perform a patriotic salute, complemented by a 50-yard American flag, and Christian recording artist and worship leader Charles Billingsley will cap the show with a live performance of “God Bless the USA.”
