Convocation at Liberty University is a time for students from all academic programs and corners of campus to join for spiritual development. Held twice a week, the event remains the largest weekly gathering of Christian students in the world, featuring powerful worship, prayer, and inspirational speakers.
The Fall 2024 semester will bring a mix of pastors, thought-provoking authors and speakers, and faith-led performers to the Convocation stage. Demonstrating what it means to be a Champion for Christ, special guests from the fields of business, politics, and entertainment will share about their careers and convictions about our country and world today, such as entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy (10/2) and TV host Kathie Lee Gifford (11/8). Pastors like Jonathan Pokluda (8/21), Hyeon Soo Lim (9/6), and Vance Pittman (10/30) will offer insights on living for Christ.
Liberty will also welcome two of its own: anchor of “FOX News Sunday” and a 1993 alumna Shannon Bream on Aug. 30 and NASCAR’s William Byron, driver of the No. 24 Liberty University Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and a current student pursuing a B.S. in Strategic Communication through Liberty University Online Programs, on Oct. 9.
This fall’s lineup was announced during Friday morning’s New Student Convocation. (See the full schedule below. Dates and speakers are subject to change; for updates, visit the Office of Spiritual Development webpage.)
Convocation is held every Wednesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Vines Center and is open to the entire student body. Campus Community, a service featuring messages from members of Liberty’s leadership and special guests, is held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Most of these events are streamed live on Liberty’s YouTube channel, Liberty’s main Facebook page and the Office of Spiritual Development Facebook page.
