Ice resurfacing machines get dressed up at LaHaye Ice Center

LaHaye Ice Center’s two ice resurfacing machines will look a little different at Liberty University hockey games this upcoming season. They will be wrapped in Liberty Flames and LU logos.

The first machine was completed this week.

Kirk Handy, LU men’s head hockey coach, said they are rolling out the machines with a new look to excite fans. They are also planning a special surprise at home games.

“We’re excited because during the hockey games this year people will not only see the new wraps, but we’re also going to have a seat built on each machine so we can have a ‘celebrity assistant driver,'” a winner randomly selected at the home games, he said.
