TV station airs interview with President Falwell on healthy habits

Led by President Jerry Falwell, Jr.’s commitment to weight loss (73 pounds to date), Liberty University has experienced a health revival. Falwell’s lifestyle shift garnered the attention of WSET-TV, Lynchburg, Va.’s local ABC station, which aired a story on Nov. 7, featuring an interview with Falwell and Liberty staff who have been inspired to change their habits as well.
The broadcast also highlighted Liberty’s commitment to promoting health and wellness campus-wide, as the school was recently ranked the third healthiest college in the nation by The Daily Beast.
Liberty has become a champion of health in the local community, promoting wellness initiatives in the area while it encourages its students, faculty, and staff to live holistically healthy lives. Liberty has enhanced its recreational opportunities, providing a variety of ways to stay active.
