Jeremy Camp to visit Convocation Wednesday; women’s conference kicks off Friday

Jeremy Camp

On Wednesday, March 4, five-time GMA Dove Award winner and Christian singer and songwriter Jeremy Camp will be a special guest at Liberty University’s Convocation to discuss the film, “I Still Believe,” in theaters March 13. The film is about his late wife, Melissa, and their story of faith through tragedy. Jon Erwin, writer and director for the film, will join Camp onstage.

Camp and Erwin will sit down with Liberty’s Senior Vice President for Spiritual Development David Nasser to discuss the making of the film and the inspiration behind it.

Jeremy and Melissa married in 2000 after they discovered she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She battled the illness throughout their first year of marriage and passed away in 2001. Some of Camp’s most popular songs came from this time of heartbreak and grief. He wrote “Walk by Faith” during their honeymoon and wrote “I Still Believe” after Melissa’s death.
