Three baseball players selected in MLB Draft

The Liberty Flames baseball program had three players selected during the second day of the 2012 Major League Baseball Draft, Tuesday.

The Toronto Blue Jays selected outfielder Ian Parmley in the seventh round, while the Texas Rangers took pitcher John Niggli in the ninth round of the 201 Major League Baseball Draft. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected pitcher Blake Forslund in the 15^th round, the final round of the day.

With the selections of the trio, Liberty has had 49 players selected in the 39-year history of its program and has had a player selected in every draft since 2000.
