Golf team continues strong season

The Liberty University men’s golf team is coming off an impressive second-place finish at the Seahawk Invitational as the team posted a 19-over par 883 (303-285-295) at the Country Club of Landfall Nicklaus Course in Wilmington, N.C., Feb. 27-28.

The Flames finished ahead of No. 25 Wake Forest, No. 42 North Carolina, No. 61 East Carolina and South Carolina.

The men’s golf program is having its best season in program history and is ranked in the top 50 in two major polls – No. 46 in Golfweek and No. 48 in Golfstat. Liberty junior Robert Karlsson, last year’s Big South Golfer of the Year, is ranked No. 30 in the latest Golfstat individual rankings.
